[Read] The Premier of KZN, Sihle Zikalala, challenges men to lead the fight against GBV & femicide

A campaign called the 'Men's Month campaign', in which KZN men march against gender-based violence (GBV) and femicide has been launched as an initiative of the provincial government and supported by the KZN Provincial Men’s Forum. This campaign aims to address the challenges men face at home, at work, and in society at large to promote change, social cohesion, and peace in communities.


The 12th of July 2022 marked the launch of the Men's Month campaign against GBV and femicide with the first men's march starting from King Dinuzulu Park and ending at the eThekwini Municipality City Hall. eThekwini Municipality Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda, Premier Sihle Zikalala, and Sport, Arts, & Culture MEC Hlengiwe Mavimbela were among the men who participated in the first men's march against GBV and femicide
