[Mandela day] The Awake Sokhana young women’s Club raises awareness about gbvf

The Awake Sokhana young women’s Club from Nu 17 Mdantsane conducted a walkabout in their community. They put up posters raising awareness about Gender Based Violence and Femicide. They visited Inyibiba Police Station, NU 17 rent office, NU 17 clinic, Mdantsane Public Library and gave a GBVF talk at Manyano Junior Primary School.

This particular club was established in March and has been running independently since.

Club sessions empower women and young girls to be bold and independent women who will always show assertiveness towards issues of gender discrimination.
